At one point or another we’ve all been that one lost sheep that Jesus is going after.
No matter what stage of life we find ourselves in now, we’ve all been there. We’ve all been at our rock bottom with no where to turn. And Jesus meets us right there, where we are. Most of us can tell a story, or maybe multiple stories of those that came along side us when we were new believers trying to make our way in this world. But, unfortunately for some, that person or people is very hard to come by. Even in Christian circles, there are those that are deemed less worthy of help, because they have fallen too far; but the truth is, God says that none of us are worthy and that all sin separates us from Him. We want to be someone that people can turn to, no matter how bad they have blown it, because no one can ever blow it so bad that we cannot come back to God.

As the church we work together to bring God glory, and what brings Him more glory than a sinner turning their lives over to him? Our mission is to help those who feel like they have no hope to find the hope of Jesus and to starting living for Him.
What is the mission of I Am Matthew?
When Jesus chose the disciples, he personally chose Matthew, the tax collector, who would have been considered as someone who was an outcast, someone who self-destructed his life. I am Matthew Ministries seek to minister to current day Matthews who have committed to follow Christ, but need practical help in walking out the life Christ has for them. By meeting first the spiritual needs, then the physical needs, then the social needs, I.A.M. will be used by God to transform the life of a self-destructed outcast into one that is engaged in their community and dedicated to building up those around them.
How does I Am Matthew help people find hope in Christ?
I Am Matthew Ministries connects with individuals spiritually. Our main plan is rooted in what Jesus calls us all to do, “go and make disciples” (Matthew 28:19). Everything we do is rooted in discipleship. Whether it be a small group, one-on-one mentorship, or the podcast, our goal is always to help people grow in their relationship with Christ.
What is the significance of the name?
The name ‘I Am Matthew’ comes from the fact that Jesus called Matthew, a tax collector whom everyone hated because of his decisions, personally by name, and He is still calling people to Him today. No one is too far gone, or too bad, and we know this from personal experience. God calls people from all walks of life and backgrounds.
